18th Century CE Frederician RPF - Maria Theresia, Catherine II, Friedrich II
Given the nature of the setting and the fact that they don’t spend much time interacting so directly, I’m fine if the interaction is done through a diplomatic channel and/or includes only two of them and the focus is on one side.
I’d love something dealing with the issue of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the First Partition. Understood fairly broadly: not just the plans and accomplishment itself (or earlier suggestions of divisions), but the taking over of Spiš, the regal election, Prussian devaluing of the currency, issues over the salt trade, tariffs. Something like the hunt for old documents purporting to prove that some area of land ought really be theirs, an employment of history for such uses, would please me.
In particular, I like plans that don’t come to fruition and enjoy people making (poor) justifications. Other characters it might be nice to see: Poniatowski, Franz Stefan. Unorthodox interpretations of historical events welcome.
Daddy-Long-Legs - Jean Webster - Julia Pendleton, Judy Abbott
I’d love something femslashy for this fandom. I’d rather the fic not focus on Judy/Jervis (background okay) and in particular please keep all mentions of “Dear Daddy” (as in, that form of address, not Jervis himself) to any letter bits you might wish to write.
Julia might start off as the least entertaining person in the world to Judy, but she’s not to me. I like characters with a strong sense of family identity and so the description of her as so proud of being a Pendleton drew me in from the start. I’d like something post-canon about her and now-a-Pendleton-by-marriage! Judy. Maybe it’s only at this time that Julia (consciously) finds herself attracted to Pendleton-ised Judy.
Something when they’re at the college would be great too. Judy certainly noticed Julia’s silk stocking-ed legs and wanted Julia to notice hers in turn. It’s not so far to turn that into a femslashy impulse and some admiration and touching and kissing would please me very much. Or anything like that when Julia comes over or some evening later when they’re sharing rooms, or around the time Julia invites Judy over for Christmas (“getting quite attached” to her). Julia buys the two loveliest hats – perhaps she too looks lovely in them? Or something in relation to the basketball team/practice/even the later swimming, which gives a nice opportunity for a physical admiration (though not, please, a fic about the learning to swim or swimming badly.)
Or something dealing with Judy as a writer, whether something what she tries in college or something she later has published post-canon – maybe something in a work reminds Julia of herself or makes her consider Judy in a different light? Perhaps something that really happened is recast as romantic for a het pair. Or an exchange AU (run as a college fun writing activity)!

Whyborne and Griffin - Jordan L. Hawk - Whyborne, Griffin
There are a couple of bits in the series where there is some thought of what it might have been like had they met back in Chicago. I’d love a time travel AU take on this – after all, perhaps getting Whyborne to Chicago in the normal manner is not so much likelier than time travel in this ‘verse!
Maybe to around the time of that final case? I don't see Whyborne as being a 'let the timeline play out' type; if he’s early enough, I think he'd want to spare Griffin the asylum. Or even before that, given that pretty much all his supernatural exploits have been with Griffin, maybe he can be helpful in an attempt to get back home. In terms of consequences of such a change, feel free to avoid the focus on that in the long-term. I prefer the outcome that changes lead to a splintered timeline and maybe the characters can return to their original timeline. It’s sad if we end up with a very invested Whyborne with memories of years of relationship with a Griffin he’s never going to see again/pre-canon Griffin who’s only falling for him but lacks the same investment. I’m mostly interested in some interactions between Whyborne and pre-canon Griffin, maybe some with the other Pinkertons like Glenn and Elliot.
I’d also be interested in seeing something about Griffin and his remaining brother. When the mess with Jack is going down, he has the self-recrimination that he should have been more open about Whyborne, but that’s difficult in the context, and especially so when trying to form again a relationship with a long-unknown family member. I enjoy fiction about complicated family relationships and would be very happy if the brother had some mixed feelings about his brother’s relationship but nevertheless was interested in getting to know Griffin again a bit. It would be interesting if the second brother were a union man – there are bits in canon about Whyborne’s background insulating him from many hardships, but most objections to him come from the same-sex pairing, his being a sorcerer or not fully human, so it would be fun to get this sort of angle too. Plus a bit of conflict with Griffin’s Pinkerton past beyond Tilton’s early comments and a small comment in Threshold.
I enjoyed the mutual insecurity and sense of only temporarily getting to have this that they have in the earlier books, so something more about that would also be fun for me. Some extra scene from book 1-time from Griffin’s POV would be enjoyable or an AU where Whyborne in a moment of weakness does use the love spell.
I'd also enjoy something exploring Griffin and Elliot’s relationship in Threshold in light of Griffin’s comments that his relationship with Whyborne has made him think less positively of his relations with Elliot and of Elliot’s behaviour towards him – and what we see of Elliot. An AU where Elliot survives would be very enjoyable.
